Greg Shim, L.Ac. has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 7 years in Castle Rock, CO. He is the Education Consultant for the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine where he also teaches in the advanced student clinic. Greg is licensed to practice acupuncture in Colorado, California, and Hawai'i, and is the President of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado.
Greg is also on the forefront of Injection Therapy in Colorado where his forms are used by the American Acupuncture Council as the basis for other acupuncturists to be able to practice this treatment protocol. He is one of two Licensed Acupuncturists in Colorado recognized by the American Acupuncture Council to teach Injection Therapy, and studied in Milan, Italy in 2008 at the headquarters of Guna, Inc., the manufacturers of Physiological Regulating Medicine.
Greg's unique blend of acupuncture, herbs, massage and stretches, exercises, Kinesio Tape, injection therapy, and dietary considerations allow for fewer treatments and greater healing overall. While Greg does not consider himself a healer, he does consider himself a facilitator in your healing. He believes that the body is made to fix itself, and that given what it needs, the body can overcome most problems.
Greg enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, cooking, gardening, playing his ukulele, and lutherie/woodworking (check out the front desk!). He is a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo and currently trains under Sifu Eric Bernsdorf at Wah Lum Tam Tui Praying Mantis Kung Fu.
